Gene Gun Biolistic is equipped with a unique mechanism for generating gas shock waves. It can produce gas pressures ranging from 0.5 Mpa to 5 Mpa. By utilizing helium or nitrogen as the power source, it generates a “cold” gas shock wave. This shock wave is then employed to transport DNA micro – bombs into the receptor.
With helium or nitrogen as the power source, the Gene Gun Biolistic creates a “cold” gas shock wave that effectively delivers the DNA micro – bomb to the receptor. This approach avoids cell damage that might be caused by a “hot” gas shock wave, enabling the completion of high – quality transgenic work.
